Hi Peter

I have setup 9.2 pro on a dialup modem and no problems
 at all, though I installed via the CDs as the pc did
not have a DVD drive. Mine is on broadband and no
problems there.

I have had it confirmed by SuSE that the DVDs have
more applications on them than the CDs.

You only need to download the patches if the rpms are
already installed.

I don't understand why there should be any difference
between the DVDs and the CDs??
