Hmm.. out of interest what would have happened if the police had 
confiscated his equiptment and found e.g. warez on it?

Not quite sure why armed police were required.. guess it's as bad as 
that woman who as chased by helicopters etc for eating an apple or what 
ever... (am I paranoid, or has Blunkett made this into a police state?)


Having said all the above, the BBC article didn't mention lynx or armed 
police...
