Worrying. I donated money to the DEC using Firefox. If it turns out that
this man was using Lynx and got treated so badly for doing that then the
case deserves more publicity and the DEC deserve never to receive
another online donation from me again (I'd have to do it in person).
Incidentally, I know people in such telcos and am surprised, but am
certainly not shocked, to hear that they might misread IDS logs in this
fashion. The trouble is that many people I meet in IT these days have no
clue beyond a log file line looking unusual and can't distinguish
between a simple browser difference and an evil terrorist riding a
broomstick with a laptop bolted on.
