The PHPmyAdmin works!! I can see and access all the databases I've created.

The mysql_connect.inc file that I created as per the book still wont work that 
maybe because;

1.Dave's comment about .inc files.
2. Its in the wrong place.
3. some other .inc files are needed.
4. The little Elf inside my machine is asleep. :)

Thanks for all the pointers I can carry on now until the next snag. ;-)
