[Wolves] Python Interface to CLi?

Guys,

If I wanted to write a simple GUI interface to the command line, using Python
that would simply take a web address from the user and pass that to a set of
bash scripts, how would I go about investigating that? Any search terms/links
to tutorials would be handy.
