Forgive me if I am mistaken but I was reading about Debian the other
day and the non-us stuff is illegal in the U.S.?  Correct?  So I would
guess that the server is probably non-US based too?

Just thinking aloud really and trying to get back into a Linux frame
of mind after having to mess about with XP Home for the latter part of
the week.
