Hello,

For something to bring the linux disscussion well
below the hi-tech talk and down to almost
point-less-ness. Do people simply use yahoo games or
do people use any advanced engines for chess, poker
and snooker/pool.

For Chess i use eboard and gnu chess, this is one of
the advanced chess engines on linux. With opening
books its 'chess for chess players'.

For poker what do people use. Can't find much on
linux and apt-get, any good repos? I apt-get poker3d,
but when i clicked on the bin file nothing happens,
the mouse arrow turns into the poker 3d sign but then
nothing. Went into the terminal and as 'su' i still
get nothing. It uses python program (yes installed).

For snooker, can't find much out there still.

So what are the best standard linux programs out there
and what are the 'reposities' or where to download.

Cheers

Bob
