Wow, such a lovely response. Heavy for me to read through such as
TightVPN, etc.. But I'll learn.

Big thanks to you all guys. If it weren't for you lot, I'd be stuck
with XP gloomily!

There are a few hurdles to overcome with Linux before I completely
erase XP from my computer system...

1. Video chats (MSN video) - GAIM does not offer video capability for
MSN (so I can converse with my deaf friends using sign language and
they use XP, hence MSN).
2. Choosing the right DVD video editing suite for my needs. Adobe
Premiere is brill, but expensive. I'd like a equivalent to that, just
as GIMP does what Photoshop do. (I am aware that Photoshop offers
slightly more than GIMP, but for an average user like us, there is no
need for specialist features like CYMK file).
3. Has anyone tried it on Linux -- webcam viewing (like the famous
'coffee machine cam'. I'd like that set up here. Hmmmm? Any ideas?
(I *still* can't get my Logitech QuikSphere to work, under SuSE 9.2
Pro, nor FC3. still trying to locate a 'generic' webcam driver --
groan).

Gripes aside, a BIG thank you for the tips, and I am certainly going
to read more about TightVPN which I think interests me the most.

Kind regards,

Tim
