Surely you will just be moving the noise one foot to the left?
Found this for resistance:

which shows following drops at 12v and 10 amps
1 ft - 0.5%
10ft - 5%
based on the minimum cable diameter they offer (15A).
Not sure what PSU cable would be, guessing 15A or less so up those
figures a bit.
But even so, voltage drop insignificant at 1 foot.
