Ubuntu is *entirely* the same system as Kubuntu, with
the exception of apt-get install kubuntu-desktop,
which then pulls in ahem, the Kubuntu KDE desktop and
all of it's dependencies.

Honestly, it's exactly the same system with the
exception of a KDE desktop.
