[Wolves] Telnet to serail device

Hi all,

A bit of a stupid question, but it as i have never had to do it before.

I  may be getting a works laptop, to take on site with me and they are
letting my put linux onto to it. Great i thought, but i've never had
to try to start a telnet session with a serial device before.

Is it as simple as 'telnet /dev/ttyS1'? or am i completely wrong?

i havnt tried it quite yet but im going to at some point
