[Wolves] Any blender gurus out there?

Evenin' all,
I know this is a bit off-topic, and I have already posted it on the 
blender forum, but......

Are there any blender gurus in the house? My blender crapness is causing 
me problems :-\ If anyone knows why blender keeps doing this 
(http://www.splinescan.co.uk/images/blend.jpeg) to my models, I'd be 
very grateful for the fix, even if it is a chopslap-4-pebkac  ;-)
