Hey Dan. Good to hear you are not dead!!!  :)

No, I was thinking on the tube home. I make it 5 files to edit
('/etc/nsswitch.conf', '/etc/samba/smb.conf', '/etc/pam.d/common-*') and
 one command ('/usr/bin/net').

Disclaimer: That might be inaccurate but I can't think of a lot more

I might go and buy it. I have the O'Reilly book which isn't bad but I
have nothing post "security = ads" to cross reference against.
