I use Thunderbird, for email and news, but find it a bit crap in certain 
ways - it won't let you killfile threads (or posters), cocks up
threading quite often, crashes a couple of times a week, etc.
Biggest bug is that whilst it mostly displays images inline, often it 
doesn't - just showing the file as text, so you have to boot up another 
reader
just to view one image.
