I have a sneaking suspicion that some works been done on this - because it now 
behaves properly.  I would normally have suspected that it was user error 
(i.e. mine) causing the problems, but having tried two platforms and three 
browsers I'd like to think that even I can't mess up that often - naive of me 
perhaps.

I also have to admit that I never encountered real problems with the previous 
incarnation of the site, which perhaps goes to prove how fickle the behaviour 
of software can be?
