Have you performed that voodoo whereby Ubuntu ventures into the world
of the non-free, closed-source codec?
There are ways of manually installing these (eg support for WMV,
QuickTime, Flash), but I have found the Automatix project v effective
in this regard. It solves a raft of issues all at once. Take a look at
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=80295&highlight=automatix
to see what it can do.
Note it is for Breezy ONLY at the moment.
Of course, be aware that you are by doing this departing from a
totally free/GPLed OS...
