I know nothing about, well, anything really but:
/etc/init.d/postfix restart
is the command to restart the postfix daemon so could
they mean
#postconf -e 'mailbox_command = '; /etc/init.d/postfix
restart

or
# postconf -e 'mailbox_command = '
# /etc/init.d/postfix restart

i.e set mailbox_command to blank as Joe said, and then
restart postfix to get it to use the new value ?
