Do you have it set up for LVM?  If so you should be able to add a disk
- assuming you have a spare EIDE/IDE channel.  Unless I have totally
misunderstood the LVM function :-)  (it stands for Logical Volume
Don't take it to the tip recycle it via the Freecycle(r) Network.
