[Wolves] Cable modems and NTL

Around the time that NTL and Telewest merged, a friend of mine complained
that he signed with one but got the modem for the other...

Seeing as its the same optic using the same fitments, would it really make a
difference?   Post-merger the quality of telewest modems has deteriorated
and I am aware of one (Motorola) that went into meltdown taking both itself
and the wifi router connected to it to Hades.   Perhaps if you can find a
really reliable one it would be worth  splashing out.
