[Wolves] Networking advice

Hi folk

I have friend who has just moved over to Linux, SUSE 10.2. The setup he had before is two windows PCs with printer and scanner network,  the pcs can access the folders on each other. The setup now is a windows pc and a Linux pc, and a router/adsl modem. Can a network be setup with this configuration so that the Linux pc can print and use the scanner or the other way round if necessary. 

Any advice would be appreciate it.
