Their customer service being appalling may be another part of the issue. 
I've spent about 5 hours waiting on the phone over the last couple of 
weekends because they failed to cancel starting my son's phone service 
and charged him for the privilege. I spoke to 2 good people and 5 who 
were useless. He still has a phone service he doesn't want.
