Hi Wayne
You can buy Dell machines with Ubuntu on them already as you probably
know, even though you're a Fedora man if I remember correctly.
I doubt you'd be able to walk in to anywhere and buy one so it's either
pay the Windows tax, in some cases cheaper than without a Windows
license, buy a FreeDOS or Ubuntu machine from Dell, or get one from
System76 (in the US I think), Efficient PC (plug to Efficient PC because
they gave LugRadio an Eee PC to give away as a prize, possibly South
Yorks, possibly not) or the Linux Emporium, who I believe are based in
Birmingham somewhere.
