Not at all Mark.  My crowing was simply because the iPlayer wasn't
deemed necessary by the BBC for the Linux platform.  Until the outcry.
 Now it's been rolled out for Windows it's flawed...badly...fact.

If you want me to point out problems with Linux software I can do that
:-)  I don't because it's a different way of life.  It's voluntary
(mostly) whereas Windows software is mostly paid for.... even when it
doesn't work properly :-(  I don't knock the fantastic work of all our
millions of volunteers who write software for Linux as that would
simply be wrong in my book.  Add to that at least I can contact people
and suggest improvements if I like and have a relatively good feeling
that I'm being listened to.  I know I wouldn't get that warm fuzzy if
I tried it with Windows stuff..
