Hi Claire

The OS should recognize your camera as a removable storage device, just click away at the icon on the desktop and then move photos to a destination folder. Then perhaps use the photo app of your choice to do things like red eye etc. With F-Spot might be just the settings that you need to tweak. I started using F-Spot but in the end found it much easier to do what I have suggested.
