Just a quick follow on..

Dont be scared to ask silly questions on the phone to the tax people, 
they are very helpful and not at all like a bank manager.

Talk to the local trading standards. They are also very helpful, even if 
they do carry big sticks. They will come and see you if you ask them and 
you can ask them all sorts of silly questions too!

If you must get together with a bank business manager, nod in all the 
right places but realise he is not an expert in your business. He will 
try to be helpful within his remit but as with teachers, those that can, do.
