Every year, HMRC (Inland Revenue) send out an "Employer CD-ROM" to
companies to assist in calculating how much tax, student loan
deductions, etc. they should take from you.  The latest one (June 2009)
has the following under System Requirements:

"This CD-ROM has been tested on Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4), Windows
XP (Service Pack 3) & Windows Vista (Service Pack 1), on MAC OS 9.1 & OS
X 10.5.6 systems, and on Linux (Ubuntu 8.04),..."

Yes, it does work, complete with verbal instructions for people using
assistive software.
