Hi everyone
I just came across this in an frequently overlooked RSS feed and I
figured others here might be interested. Next, the clothing retailer,
have brought out an Android tablet for £180:

Articles:

The Register and others suggest it's a rebranded one of these:

Others suggest it's a rebranded Zenithink and/or that Elonex are also
re-branding the same device.
I've not really looked at Android tablets at all so I can't say yet how
it compares to others in terms of specs, but that seems a great price.
The apparent downsides are 3 hours battery life and a resistive screen
which you have to press on, rather than capacitive which apparently
means no multi-touch. Other comments (such as on the Register article)
suggest it's cheaply made and "biblically horrible" but another suggests
that a firmware update fixes the problems touchscreen problems reported
by Mr Biblically Horrible.
Anyway, it might be worth comparing specs and indicative pricing on
forthcoming competing devices from Dell, HP, Samsung, HTC etc and maybe
taking a punt for £180.
Anyone else looked at Android tablets? Looks like they're going to be
the new Netbook with everyone + dog bringing one out for Christmas.
Regards,
Adam Sweet
