In order to try out the proof of concept - before trying the java - try having a look at the AppInventer site by google http://appinventor.googlelabs.com uses block manipulation rather than code, but useful to see if an idea will work... I've installed that twice but all the menu bar is a item to uninstall, have to have another go cheers
