So on Tusday, APNIC requested 2 of the last remaining 7 /8 unallocated
subnets in the IPv4 address space.  This triggered the distribution of
the remaining 5 /8s, one to each of the RIRs. (Video of the event at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gveJs6YRYXU ).

This was roughly in line with the various forecasts of the event (of
between Dec 2010 and Mar 2011, depending upon who you listened to).

RIPE (the European RIR) got the last of the last (185/8) and are
estimating that that will be used up some time around Sep-Oct 2011.
