Hacker days are traditionally a number of like-minded (computer
oriented) individuals meeting up to work on a project/projects.  In
this case it would probably have a much wider scope to include arts &
crafts.

The lighthouse is the Lighthouse Media Centre
http://light-house.co.uk/ where LUGRadio Live was staged twice (2007
and 2008).
