[Wolves] trying to rescue external hard drive(my sister bf 3tb drive)

USB 3 is backwards compatible with USB 2 so the should not be an issue.
Likely the virus made the data  unreadable for whatever reason. Not sure I
would trust that the firmware of the drive has not been infected.
