Hi all, I had this passed to me by the Nick, the LUGmaster of Powys LUG.
That's Powys, Wales not Powys, France as per the old LugRadio gag...
I heard that the The National Museum of Computing were doing virtual
tours via the Ubuntu Podcast a couple of months back and it sounds
pretty impressive. The one below includes a human guide.
May I draw your attention to a zoom meeting visiting The National Museum
of Computing housed adjacent to the code breaking buildings at Bletchley
Park.
You can join the CCS (Computer Conservation Society) of the BCS
absolutely free.
You can register for the zoom meeting on Wed 3rd March 1600-1830
I attended the last one and was staggered by the museum. It is a
conducted tour with dynamic commentary ie not pre-recorded.
Time: Mar 3, 2021 04:00 PM London
To book:
https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-national-museum-of-computing-virtual-guided-tour-for-ccs-members-tickets-134952367163
This is an excellent way for you to view some computer history.
YOU NEED TO BOOK SOON AS THERE ARE LIMITED SPACES ...it said 18
remaining when I looked a day ago.
