Currently our mailman links from the home page at least go to the SSL 
site - ie

   https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/wylug-announce

The site has 2 certificate problems:-
   - it is a CAcert certificate, which tends to need you
     to download a CA cert to recognise - which is a
     problem for start/naiive users
   - The certificate uses a weak signature algorithm,
     which means several browsers reject it anyhow.

I raised this ages back with the server admins with no response.

Can I suggest we change the links to just go to the non-SSL site instead.

Had a couple of people unable to deal with the mailing list due to not 
being able to access it due to SSL issues.
