Greetings all,

This is earlier than usual because I'm on holiday next week - I'll send a
reminder nearer the meeting, to counter Wetware RAM failure.

The last meeting was an excellant overview of the CODA file system from
Owen LeBlanc. Followed by some MAC Advocacy from Peter Nix (nice one
Peter!), a nice overview of just how Linux can glue other stuff together.
Thanks to Owen and Peter.

We follow the networking theme for the next meeting.....

The Next Meeting - 12th June

Matthew John Palmer talking on "Networking Linux in the home"

Matthew writes....
"A quick note to say that the notes for my talk "Networking linux in the
Home", to be presented to WYLUG on the 12 June, are available from

http://ieee.uow.edu.au/~mjp16/wylug-netlinux

I'd suggest printing out the full notes and bringing them along if you
want to get the most from the talk. They should be around 12-14 pages,
all up."

Also Martyn Ranyard on SAMBA.

[unfortunately the chance of getting one of the main SAMBA developers to
speak to us, fell through.]

Meeting 10th July

VPN's - Virtual Private Networks by Gary Stainburn and Andrew Johnson

(I must claim brainache here and admit to forgetting which one of you
is doing the talk or whether it will be a double act)

Meeting 14th August

Holiday period meeting. No speaker. Tea/Coffee and chat, impromtu stuff.

Future meetings

I need volunteers to do talks for future meetings in Sept and October.
If you feel a talk or demo etc coming on let me know :-)

That's it.

All the best
Jim
