Software Patents

A lot has been happening on issues surrounding Software Patents over the
last 
few days. I hope you find the main article on this topic informative & would

urge you to become more informed and involved whatever your views on IPR.

FLOSS-SIG events
-----------------------
We have two SIG events planned in the near future:
* "The Genii of the LAMP" - A full day seminar on LAMP technology 2nd March.
* Workshop on embedding Linux for real world computing on 23rd March.

There are two further events being planned for April & May in cooperation
with 
the IEE South Yorks branch. More details on these will follow shortly.
