Yup, I've seen that on a load of servers where I used to work. We had a
planned power outage about 2 years ago, so the whole server room had
been powered back up at the same time. It's to do with the 32 bit clock
and a 100Hz jiffy. It works out to be :-
(2^32 - 1) / 100 seconds = 497 days 2:27:52.95

It affected our old 2.0.x kernels - those servers just locked solid, but
the 2.2.x servers were fine. I've even seen NetApps do it too :)
Apart from that we saw no other issues.
