Evening,
Off topic again I know, but given that we all seem to like finding new
life in older hardware :-)
I have some 128MB Compaq ECC EDO 50ns DIMMS which would suit the older
Proliant 6500 Xeon servers, or any other machine which needed high spec
memory at the time.
There are four sticks, totalling 512MB. This could turn that old
Proliant in the corner into a nice useable machine for some webserving
or fileserving jobs.
It'll also work in any other machine needing this type of RAM.
I bought them because I hoped they'd fit in my Sun Ultra 5, but sadly it
doesn't recognise double sided DIMMs and they only show up as half their
capacity.
Maybe somebody here could use them?
Any offers????? I'd like to recoup preferable a bit of the cost.
James
