It amazes me that the SHU can make a claim that they teach ITC students.
Although, I think, it might be that there are other higher education
institutions which are also just as guilty of not providing their
students and staff with some basic facts about computing science and
information technology. So, SHU may not be just a one off. There is,
after all, a Government and University led policy to follow which staff
at higher education institutions have to follow. Without which they do
not have a job. Sir Bill is the consultant and no one can argue with
that.
We shall continue with our public meetings at SHU and other places
around Sheffield all of which have taken place for more than five years
now. Hopefully I will be able to give out some more information about
our Autumn meetings at tomorrow nights meeting. This years Autumn
schedule promises to be really good.
