Hi
Many motherboards have a "resume on power failure" option - my Asus
motherboard, whatever is in my linux box and a cheapo ECS one all have this.
Also, some of the Dells in my IT room at school have it as well.
With this enabled if there is a power cut (or you unplug it) and then
return the power the PC will boot up automagically.
Does that help, maybe with the name of this feature you can google away.
