[Wylug-discuss] Which process is accessing the hard drive?

I just wonder why my laptop keeps beeing busy with the hard drive, although
not doing anything. It seems that something is accessing the drive in _very_
regular moments, eg. every 7 seconds.

I'm just curious: Is there a simple comand to find out (like top)?

Especially in battery mode it would be important to make most out of cache
memory, wouldn't it?
I think it probably prevents my drive from falling asleep!
