It's a 3-generation house and flat.  There are 6 boxes permanently connected 
and three laptops from time to time.  One laptop connects via cable, as it is 
conveniently sited, but the two new laptops both have wireless networking.  
For my daughter's it is no problem.  For mine, there are few places I can 
access the lan.  For most of the work I need to do in windows it's no biggie, 
except that I can't print across the lan.  I'm still hoping to get a dual 
boot on here when I have more time to sort it out, but that will just lead to 
more usage and more non-printing frustration.
