Scribus, Tex, Latex and dealing with fonts, please - although not
necessarily together ;)

I'm already using Scribus but know I could get much more out of it. I've
been hearing great things about Latex especially and think I know where
I could probably use it if I knew a little bit more (the horses for
courses bit comes in) and I really would love to know how I can use some
of the fonts on this machine across more apps!
