Right... so they're *not* audio files then, they're actually ISO9660
filesystem images.
Talk about confusing the issue - it's generally understood that a .cdr
file is raw audio data to burn as a type 2 track on a CD, and that a
.iso file contains an ISO9660 filesystem image for burning as a type 1
track so that you can mount it.
It's not surprising that sox couldn't play it.
I'm still a little puzzled as to why they didn't just make the above
files available on their server just as they are above. Were they
running out of inodes or something? ;-)
