Just download mplayer - it handles real perfectly fine.

Incidently, it also allows me to stream the BBCs "Listen Again" 
(that annoying "we only want you to use our online player") thing into a 
file, then convert to MP3/MP4 (using lame) for listening/watching on my 
PDA.
