[Wylug-discuss] .avi to DVD

When I gave my talk on analogue camcorder to DVD, 18? months ago, I remember 
that Dave Fisher had some interest, but had found the dvdauthor package in 
particular rather difficult.

For Dave, and anyone else with an interest -

I have recently been pointed to DeVeDe.  You still have to capture the 
camcorder output to .avi, and you still have to pre-prepare any transitions 
or fades, but this gui application is well worth looking at.  At first sight 
it's a bit simplistic, but the more I look at it, the more I think it's 
worthwhile.
