  I followed Dave's example and wrote to Francis, from
my personal address, with a statement I hope looked
insightful from personal experience. My letter was somewhat
verbose (especially so compared to yours, not that this
would surprise many) and may also not have been the best-
made case, but I am swayed by the idea that a number of
such letters will make for a better overall statement
than some over-quoted boilerplate.

  I got a very quick response considering the time of
night as well. Not as tailored to the content as Dave's
was, but tailored nevertheless :)
