The old IP isn't by any chance configured in your firewall?

Does your firewall keep logs of rejected connections?

Can your run tcpdump / wireshark on the external interface on your
wirewall? If someone (I'm offering) pings you you can check to see if
the packets are reaching you.

If it is of any use, this is a tcptraceroute on port 25 - ports 22 and 80 are
the same.
