Yeah, its great that Lexmark are putting Tux on the box, but shame
they're not at 100% yet.
Currently moving from Canon i certainly agree that they are no good
with linux - b/w text was passable but photos were patchy at best. Had
to run a virtualbox XP to get the best results which wasn't ideal.
Following Anne's recommendation - and my wife's insistence on ultra
high quality photo printing (of blurry, out of focus, badly-framed
action shots of the kids, go figure! :) - i'm thinking the HP
Photosmart Premium All-in-One looks a good balance of price and
features - and fully supported by HP's linux printing stuff. The 6500
looks great too but suffers ever-so-slightly on its photo stuff.
