I've just discovered a possible error in my previous post.

I thought that sdj4 was supposed to be the spare in md1.

I've just found some old notes which say sdf4 is supposed to be the spare.

I'm not sure whether the notes are up to date or not, or whether my
memory is faulty.

Is there any way to tell?
