Robert,

Merits or disadvantages of LinkedIn aside, I don't have any problem with
anything that makes somebody somewhere thing "Ooh, that looks interesting. I
think I'll go and see what it's about".

(Plus, if it attracts recruiters, we can deal with them there and then, as they
deserve ;-)
